Ever heard of 24 hour photo competitions? Well, now you have. And it’s fun. And very simple. Who knows, you may even be one of the lucky winners of our grand prizes?

So, How Does It Work?

Like this: Every month we will pick one Saturday or Sunday to be the 24 Hour Competition Day. That means you will have 24 hours to complete 12 photographic tasks which we will provide you with.

Example: We provide you with one main theme — in this example it will be the theme City. Now we will give you 12 tasks to complete during the 24 hours of competition. You have to snap 1 picture to each of the following themes: Love, Water, Light, Road, People, Sky, Commuting, Speed, Sign, Freedom, Architecture and Communication. BUT! It MUST be in a CITY. The main theme must at all times be present in your images.

It is up to you to decide in which manner you want to photographically illustrate the 12 tasks given to you. But you must fulfill all 12 tasks to remain in the competition.

We will announce on this page when the next competition starts. The day before the competition we wll provide you with the main theme and the 12 tasks to complete.

When you have the theme and the tasks, get out and give it your best shot. When you have completed all 12 tasks, you email your images to us. But you must do so within 6 hours from that the competition has ended. Too late and you are out. No exceptions. Email your submissions to ReadySnapGo@gmail.com and put “24 Hour Photo Race” in the subject line together with your name. It is a good idea to register on ReadySnapGo.com and recieve a user name. Does It Cost Anything To Participate?

Yes, you pay a competition fee of 29 USD to our PayPal account. Payments must reach us at least three days prior to the competition.

Do I Have To Be A Professional Photographer To Participate?

No, not at all. It’s not about technical picture quality, it’s about creativity. Use your cell phone camera if you like, but be creative. There are many ways to illustrate a task. The most creative set of pictures will be the winner.

and the main theme and the 12 tasks will be mailed to all participants on Friday the 25th. Last date to submit the participation fee of USD 29 for the September 24 Hour Photo Race is Wednesday the 23th.

The competition begins at 09:00 am EST in the US and at 09:00 CET in Europe. Participants from Asia start at 09:00 UTC + 7 hours.
